Kitchen-Assistant
Job description
The role will involve supporting the kitchen by washing dishes and cutlery, putting them into a dishwasher, drying them and bringing them back upstairs. There may also be the need to wash the kitchen pots & pans and fully clean the kitchen at the end of the night and potentially prep food such as washing and pealing potatoes. There maybe a need to collect stock items and put away deliveries and breakdown cardboard boxes for waste as well as taking bins out from the restaurant at the end of the night and bringing furniture into the restaurant from outside at the end of the shift. You will also be responsible for cleaning the kitchen equipment at the end of service and mopping the floor. Hygiene is important especially as you will be working in an open plan kitchen! You must be quick and thorough and on time. Due to the nature of the business the length of the shift can be slightly shortened or extended by the employer dependant on the demand of the business on the day therefore you must be flexible.
