Job description

Main purpose of the role: To receive, store, pick and despatch goods in the Warehouse, complying with all the necessary controls, procedures whilst working safely and offering a high standard of customer care at all times. Main tasks and responsibilities: 1. To operate in line with Health and Safety policy and defined procedures and instructions. 2. To receive goods into the warehouse, ensuring they are off loaded, sorted and palletised efficiently and accurately, taking care to check the quantity and the condition of goods received, recording any discrepancies. 3. To move goods around the warehouse for storage or despatch, ensuring goods are correctly labelled and located and operating any warehouse handling equipment safely, in accordance with instructions. 4. To pick and load orders accurately and efficiently. 5. To operate scanners and the WMS/PDCU according to the defined procedures. 6. To be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse. 7. To maintain a high level of security in the warehouse at all times. 8. To ensure that all activities operate within Davies Turner policies and procedures and to demonstrate a commitment to these through their own working practices. 9. To carry out such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose and level of responsibility and offer support to other departments when required. Requirements: 1. Experience in the H&S standards in a warehouse environment 2. Manual Handling experience 3. Good communication skills 4. Committed work ethic together with excellent timekeeping 5. Good attention to detail 6.
