Job description

We are currently looking for Workers to provide Domiciliary and Palliative to vulnerable people through the community in their own homes. This is a permanent, full-time position and you must live within a commutable distance of the location. Previous experience in providing is desired but not essential, as training is fully provided. What you will need: - Clean, Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle - Recent Basic DBS Check The role of the worker is varied and therefore it can be difficult to be specific about exactly what the role will always entail. The tasks you perform are of a caring nature, as you might for a close friend or relative, but you are providing this service as a knowledgeable, trained professional. You will be providing for vulnerable people in their own homes, the key duties include:​ - Assisting with personal hygiene, i.e. helping the people to have a bath or shower, to go to the toilet or to for their skin or hair. This may involve the use and cleaning of a commode.​ - Assisting with dressing, choice of clothes and personal appearance.​ - Supporting with their medication.​ - Assisting with mobility (Manual Handling) including use of wheelchairs and hoists.​ - Providing emotional support and companionship.​ - Promoting health and wellbeing and independence.​ - End of life .​ - Housekeeping/laundry.​ - Cooking/preparing meals and helping with feeding.​ - Working with other professionals such as District Nurses, GPs, etc.​ This is a full time role, with overtime available. Shift patterns will vary.​ - You must work be able to work every other weekend.​ - 8 hour or 12 hour shifts available. ​ - Monday to Sunday Shifts available 6am – 2.30pm and 3pm -10.30pm.​ - Retention Bonus - £200 after 4 weeks and £200 after 8 weeks​
